Sorry guys, I just realized I hijacked the thread. It's friday, I'm bored, and I have wine.![]()
Nope just super fluffy silkie. Give her another couple of weeks. Looks like blue partridge also.Ok, so I was looking at the chicks in the brooders. This guy/girl always as a more fluffy look to it, but after looking tonight I think it maybe a sizzle? The crest is flipping forward and the feathers coming in on the neck look like they are also flipping out. The thing that's got me confused is I thought the frizzle gene always expresses itself, this one of the parents has to be a frizzle/sizzle for any chicks to have the gene. Neither parents expresses the frizzled gene, thus I didn't think the chicks could be frizzled or in this case, sizzled.

Thoughts? Opinions? Insight on the fizzled gene that I'm missing lol?
So according the the almanac's formula tomorrow and Sunday are in the "best" days of the year to set eggs that hatch in 21 days. Something to do with the moon pattern. I did not do the actual calculations but the days are listed on a website.
I'm setting tomorrow evening after I get tomorrow's eggs. Anyone else want to set some eggs too?
