What are you planning to use as a heat source for the cabinet bator?

I am keeping a close eye on it. It is beside my bed and I check it every few hours to make sure the temp its to high or low. I will be getting a new thermostat and hygrometer in a day or two. I have to find one in stock somewhere first. Once I do, what should I keep the humidity at and what do I bump it to for lock down?

Well I keep mine around 30-35 % day 1-18 then i go up to 50% on the last 3 days. Some people go higher on the last 3 days but when chicks hatch moisture comes off the shell and chicks and makes it rise so when my chicks hatch it goes up on its own up to 60-65%

Well i have thought about a few things but just thinking light bulb for now till i can find something else.

Nothing beats Craigslist for finding the odd treasure... Maybe you can find a nice free one..

Yes it would as long as you seal it good. My cabinet was home made years ago.

Ah ha... Well just to let you know, both my husband and I are in the construction trade and often remove and dispose of cabinets. Both kitchen and bathroom vanities... I always have acess to such items. I am more than happy to hang on to something if someone is after a certain items.
