Wow! The chicken cake is great -- trying to figure out how to construct it -- probably lots of fondant?? I LOVE the little deviled chicks. Might have to do this the next time I make them. Wish I could pin these pics for my pinterest board!

Leahs mom and M2H- neat cake and egg things (not sure what word I should use lol. I think the cake might actually be the easiest to do. Forming the base and making the feathers even being the hardest. It would take a lot of fondant for sure. I love to bake. The bad thing is it would be too pretty to eat (if I didn't mess it up).....well maybe that isn't such a bad thing lol.

I am so happy and excited to have found this thread!

I am in northwestern Indiana and have cats, fish, honeybees and silkie chickens.

I'd love to share some photos of my silkies...I got 7, week-old chicks last June and have been raising them ever since. Would love to add more to the flock when I get more land (currently living in a city).

Here's a shot of some of them in the chicken run:

I love baking and would love to make this cake for Easter!! Too cute!!

Well I had two of my newly moved out babes hatched in November come up missing last night at lockup and realized this morning that the feather mess I found was from my lone Silkie boy! Omg I could cry! I hate losing babes but out here with hawks and such it never surprises me...but to lose him..ugh...he has made it through a lot and was such a good boy! Of course one of the babes I lost was a blue copper Marans pullet.
Pic in memory of him!

I am so sorry for your loss! I have 2 roosters that look just like this guy.
