INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

A golden/silver Campine has pipped now! I just need to schedule hatches on days I have to work. The suspense has been killing me all day!

What day did you set your Campine? I got mine Saturday the 16th from you. Mine should start hatching this sunday. All the others are due monday. Lockdown was suppose to be today and the rest tomorrow so im going into lock down now. I split the time up since they are day apart.

I set them on that Thursday. I split the time on my second set that went into hatcher yesterday like you did. I had a coupe eggs I set a day after.

Then I might hold off on the mealworms for awhile until we get ready to put them outside. As for the too much calcium it could cause problems, but I never had any problems with it. As for the oyster shell being only for adults, I don't give that much to my young ones. I only give them a pinch or two. The adults get half a seed cup full.

I feed mealworms when they're little. No problems. I don't consider them a "treat". I consider them to be part of the bugs that they might find if they were outside scratching around. My broody momma fed her chicks mealworms, ground beef and venison, and any other animal protein she could get her beak on.

I just put my LG in lockdown which has my campine. 3 have internal pips and i think i can hear just a little chirping. The other 2 i had left in there looked like they stopped growing. All the rest of the eggs in there look good.

Should have more chicks and finally goslings hatching next week, after those, my hatches will all rotate on Wednesdays. Will sure be a lot easier than the weekends! Anyone else have muscovy, or guinea? Neither of mine are laying yet...
