 Thanks! I'm definitely needing them now! Looks like baby is malpositioned in the shell! Where I thought it had pipped before was not an internal pip, and it has actually pipped at about the middle of the egg! I see what I think is a beak, but it looks pretty far away from the actual pip, so I'm really surprised the baby managed to get to the air cell to pip internally! :th Baby keeps peep-peep-peeping and shifting around, so I'm resisting the urge to get in there and pull it out! I'm dying here!! (...Yes, I know better--I won't actually try to pull baby out of its shell.)
I have a quad of silver duckwing old English game bantams for sale. $80 for the quad. PM for more info
Once again, if I had the space and time for another quarantine..! :drool I love silver duckwing anything! Any pictures of them?
Yes - HALF SISTER...so not pure SFH. Not the same personality at all...she's a scrapper and her crest is "normal" in size. Good to hear Til is doing well and is the "lord" over anything! I wonder what will happen when they are as big as she? I guess by then the order will be set which should help.
Oops, that's what I meant! :) I wondered, since they have the same birthday and all! She looks a rather lot like an Australorp with a bad hair day. But I love that green sheen! We had an Australorp years ago and she was so soft and sweet. :love The littles are actually pretty close to the same size as her, and I think the Dorkings and Bielefelder might actually be a little bit bigger than she is! The only ones significantly smaller than her are the Legbar and one of the two Black Copper Marans. But they are definitely not at the stage where they will try to challenge her. Heck, she looks at them cross sometimes and they all make a run for it!
PS: How is that neck wound?
All but gone and regrowing feathers! :) The only real indication that anything was there is a small raised area where that knob used to be.

I posted them in my Facebook page, but I will try and post then here tonight. They don't take up much room at all.

Can I get your input on worming? I have 40+ birds on a little under an acre. It's fenced in. They have free range access and a large shed I converted into a coop. The shed has an temperature triggered fan and it's well ventilated and kept very clean. I have one sick bird and I've been around forums here for two days now and all anybody can come up with is worms or possibly ticks in the coop. I purchased and have been staring at a bottle of Wazine for two hours now but go don't wNt to do anything unnecessary. I do have 4 and 6 week old chicks right now so I'm really nervous about an outbreak of some kind.

I would suggest using a natural approach rather than a chemical one. Feed them plenty of pumpkin seeds, squash seeds, etc. and plenty of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar in their water on cool days. Diatomaceous earth in their feed is also very important, as is providing a dust bath area with some in there as well with wood ash.

Lisa Steele's book from Fresh Eggs Daily has been so valuable to me. I would suggest getting your hands on that as she believes in a natural approach to chicken health.
