4 the birds~ cute goats!
Vintage~ if mine were the same age, they would be together. I have the same problem, but I have the bantam extension started. I need to build some small a-frame tractors for my meat birds ( they are the orpingtons I am hatching from my flock). Planning on hatching a few each month during the spring/summer so they will be all done by late fall.

Low Class: Glad things are going up for you. 10 acres sounds like good space for more chickens and other animals. And your getting a new house to as well. Sounds like you need to change your user name from Low Class to High Class.

took two eggs out of the incubator, they had not really started each had only 1 red vein and the yolk was still mainly intact.
I still have 3 left. They look like they are growing so I'm hoping. I don't really need a how lot of chicks right now my son just wanted to see some hatch. I suppose I'll be setting a few more though to try an learn more about this process. I think I might need a better humidity monitor my thermometer seems to be working great though.

Update on Stolen Lavender Flock

I just received this email from the family whose flock was stolen . . . interesting. Keep getting the word out about this case-- everyone is helping! Thank you.

Hey Julie! Would it be possible for you to pass along the information that there is someone in the Bloomington/Indianapolis area who keeps deleting my ads for my stolen flock. I just put a post in both cities, but they won't stay long. Whoever it is, is pretty quick on deleting them. If you can't help, I understand, but anything you can do will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!​

Can you explain what she means by "deleting my ads"... Where is she putting the ads and how is it that someone has access to delete them?​

Quick question for everyone. My two chicks keep fighting with eachother. They have food and water and the heat is only about 90. They aren't pecking but they are spreading their wings and running towards eachother. Plus 1 just won't stop cheeping but it's not a distressed cheep. I have sex linked hens but is it possible they could be Roos?

AATH: How old are they? How big is your brooder? Hopefully your brooder is big enough that they can go uder the lamp or back away to not be so hot.

You can report 'spam' or 'inappropriate' listings on Craigslist and it will delete the posting. I am guessing the thief/s are in that area and do not want people to see that the chickens have been stolen.
