Glad to hear it! Been seeing a lot of roosters for sale lately.Yes I got them all sold. and all my Silkie roo's too, so I'm better with the hen - Rooster thing now... and the neighbors aint gripping any more... lol
I hope she turns upMy broody disappeared the same day I saw her on the nest. Came back later that night, and she was just gone. No clue where she is![]()

Here are a couple quick links.
When it talks about an acid medium..just a little note. When using lacto-fermentation it creates lactic acid so if you have enough time in the bucket, you don't need to worry about adding anything else. This provides it's own acid medium.
In your situation.... If you save back some of the feed and liquid from the former batches and put your new feed into the liquid leftover with enough water to cover the new feed, you still won't need to add any acid medium as there will be enough in the bucket from the former batches.
But... If you only have a quick soak time and are starting with water only, the addition of the lemon juice or ACV (even though these are NOT LACTIC ACID) will help make the anti-nutrients break down faster.
