INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Quote: I haven't clipped yet, not sure.
Yes at least 20sq ft.
Maybe twice as much.
If they are not crowded they will be fine.
I have had great luck with the bourbon reds, and am madly in love with my midget whites already. I have never met a mean heritage bird yet!!

Yes they are Blue orps
and Thank you
They are VERY Big and I am hoping by end of hatching season I have a lot of them running around.
I have a blue hen, and a splash roo I am pairing for now. Orps are my favorite.

U betcha, love to watch builds!

Wanted to send my deepest gratitude to @kittydoc . Had a situation I considered severe with one of my piglets, and her advice helped my save her. Will spare the graphic details but I have since learned its a fairly common issue with sows. She is on the mend and eating like..a pig

way to save bacon

Thanks! I was worried! Have 4 young pigs right now. She prolapsed, ugh, not fun but fixable. We have 2 gilts, plan to start breeding next spring. One boar, and this springs "Bacon" our new feeder pig growing up for the freezer. I got tired of seeing 15 pound feeder pigs going for 60 bucks (insane!), so we decided its time to raise our own. This is my 3rd year raising hogs, they are pretty easy, and I really enjoy working with them. My black boar is a big baby, flops over for belly rubs, lol.
