INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Thx. She got it at Agrarian and they are probably out. The farm stores won't let her buy just one. But I told her to call them and say she is trying to replace a 3 year olds bird and they may have sympathy. I also told her she could go with Isa Brown or Red sexlink if she can't find RIR
If your friend got the RIR at a RK/TSC, etc... you may want to have her check back there.  Sometimes they still have some after a week, and you could get one exactly like what she had.

Lol...Yeah 6 of them! Hahaha. Sorry couldn't help myself! ;) Seriously though you may want to stalk some potential buyers while there and convince them to split them or get one more for you...well your friend

Yes, it's my friend coming to get pullets from you. I texted her and told her you'd take 5 and told her about your Feb. Hatch. Thanks!
@flyladyrocks
  if you end up getting 6 and only need one, I'll take the extra 5.  I'm thinking your friend is picking up a trio of started chickens later this week.  She could bring the extras down.

I have a small three-week-old partridge Rock, which might look close enough for a convenient growth spurt. Probably a rooster but is pretty used to being handled by children and growing up gorgeous.

All else fails, go for pity at the RK or buy some packing peanuts in the cheap straight run bin.

Or, of course, tell the truth to the kid.

Since it's time to color Easter Eggs I thought I'd share pics from last year. Instead of using store bought dye packs we used Wilton Icing colors. We dissolved random amounts of the icing colors into mugs of hot water & 1 T. vinegar/mug. The brown eggs get dyed to beautiful dark colors & our color options were endless because we could mix together colors however we wanted. I think we ended up with 20 some mugs of different colors!! The 3 eggs in the carton lid were white duck eggs we blew out & then dyed -- they didn't end up nearly as vibrant as the brown eggs.
That's awesome! I think we will have to try that this year!!

I have an extra set of Abeka cursive formation wall cards used in the 1st and 2nd grade. They are new in the package. I also have the handbook for reading from Abeka, new. These are duplicates as my son has them from his 1st grade class. They were part of a package deal. If anyone needs or wants them, message me. I'm asking half of the new prices plus any shipping.
