ellymayrans...that is not cool they sent you something you didnt ordered...they should send you a replacement for the birds or refund your money...seems like this is happening quite often with hatcheries...i to have someone i know that ordered from a hatchery and didnt get the right order.

OH man!  They are cute but why didn't you get what you ordered!?!?!?!?!  I'd be raising a fuss over that!

Well...a few factors. 1 they lost a hen, production slowed down and were struggling to hatch to make orders. They offered several times to refund me but I wanted them darn it!! They were supposed to be here in March but weather etc pushed that out..Also only had 3 hatch last week and others were to hatch this week, they then said they could send what hatches and I said yes send me the ones that hatched last week and any from this coming hatch. So there are 3 that are about a week older than the others. Now, as for color they said they can't tell them apart at hatch. I'm going to have to go look at pics. I mean I have several different blue breeds and I can tell at hatch. Not sure I understand that but...?

I also know that when breeding a blue in the mix you will always have that chance / % that will and won't hatch blue. So that part I get.

They are cute as buttons and seem very happy and healthy now that they are getting over their "jet lag". Lol

I replied to @chickcrazed regarding the details. But they did refund me for the 3 short in the order and these aren't from a hatchery. So circumstances are more understandable.

I have a broody Australorp that won't give up on her eggs. I'm not sure if they are good or bad. I would like to move her into my garage to set on some other eggs (not that I need anymore but why not). How should I go about doing this?

My turkeys won't show their coloring till about 4-6 weeks at the soonest. So far the poults that I have kept hoping for blues are looking very much like blacks.
Now my blue sumatras are a bit different. Some come out clearly blue others clearly a white that turns to splash. Then there are the blues or blacks that have a bit of cream fuzz on their bellies. Those can go either way. Typically they turn into pet quality blue or black sumatras but I have gotten a few white splashes too from the almost solid colored puff balls.
My BLRW, it is a wait and see game for the final color too. At least for me I can't say if the chick will be a blue or a splash from day 1. I can say I think this is a darker wyndotte and those chicks have not turned into any blues.

candle the eggs she is on. If they are no good toss them and put the eggs you want her to hatch under her. Then make her an area in the garage with a nest area and food and water close. Enough room for her to get up to eat and go to the bathroom. Put her eggs in new nest. Put her in the new nest in the dark. I move mine all the time. They are in a trance most of the brood soas long as there are eggs under her and she is in the dark she should stay on them.
