INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hey all I am getting very close to getting my girls into their coop. I am looking for Diatomaceous Earth to use in my coop litter and run.

Do you use DE?

Where do you get it/order it from?

What do you pay for it? I don't want to pay too much if you more experienced people have found a great deal out there!

I do, TSC in noblesville had a 25 pound bag for like $16 bucks, just needs to be food grade, not the stuff used in pools.

Tomorrow is the day! Will have my baby girl in my arms here real soon! Oh and I found 4 black white crested polish hens, black banty, and another silkie hen and a Grey Toulouse goose Girl is needing to rehome them. So Im taking advantage if it!!!
Awesome, and best wishes for the baby and Mom.
Nice find on the birds too

Move in day is an exciting day! Have you had chickens before? This is our first time, and it was funny when we moved them into the coop 10 days ago, they house was suddenly so quiet. We were empty nesters!

Some updated coop pictures. I really like how it's turned out:

Red paint. I wonder if it will be red enough lol. It's to match
the red barn in background.

Here, the newly installed rope to open the pop door. This will be
on the outside of the run, so we don't have to go inside to open it.

Below, I think the coop is possessed, whenever I try to get a picture
of the backside, something happens, like this blurry shot.

Cluck----good luck with the new addition today! How many kids do you have now?

Jchny~ my silkie loves to eat! Always in the middle of the bowl (FF). I am just hoping it will be my broody. It loves to be held. It looks big compared to my other bantams??? Would that be part of being "smutt"? Maybe the hatchery was breeding other breeds to make them bigger? Idk
