But onto some interesting news that fancy expensive chicken tractor I spent a good month of my life building.. Come to find out probably could of just built the frame and throw a tarp over it and they would of been happier.. They spent the first oh maybe three to four days going in and out of the coop then decided "even though the heat lamp is in the coop and that it's dry and soft in the coop we all are going to pile on the ground less then a foot from the food and water..." Boy are these some lazy dumb dumbs... Geez all that time spent in the cold building that nice and fancy house and they don't even look at it lol tent would probably done just fine for them ugh...
Positive not steve the new buff orp roo is in with the ladies as well as the australorps because the orpington's seem the closes and didn't want to put them in the mix pen.. Steve got his but kicked on three occasions by Thelma and Louise they are thicker them him but shorter lol it was pretty funny... He came from funnyfarmmom who said he tried to take on her dominant buff roo and he even eyed my Henry who is twice his size but two fat females and he runs like they are hell hounds

Absolutely gorgeous! Can't wait to see mine display. Maybe once I get the second pair from you they will kick in.

Two questions
1.) do the males need a female to display to or are they mock fighting as in displaying to each other who the biggest is
2.) back in Florida (where I was born but my family is from Indiana/Illinois) a lot of people had them or they got loose from a sanctuary. They kinda just roamed and you could hear them in the woods too. Do you let them roam your property or do they have " pens"

My beautiful Rescue Drake! Love him. He is so polite and just fits in great here.

They do not need a female to display. Mine display what seems random. No female nearby necessarily or other Pea close by for that matter.
Mine do free range here. I have a large coop but they choose not to sleep in them.

I want some for my Asian themed garden an I'm just trying to make sure they would be good to have free range of it.. Planning stages not actually complete or started for that matter

I worked with mine for about a month each. The adults that is.
Now there are plenty of folks that have had theirs just leave.
Many reasons as to why that may happen. Just saying.
I think it could have to do with the layout of the land too.
I have theories.
