Mark eggs with marker or pencil ?
Just wondering what to use to mark the dates.
Thanks
I have always used pencil
He definitely looks like a happy crower—great picture!
I have around 30 in lock down and just can't sleep either. Just went out to check on piglets, and peeked in on my eggs in the incubators too. My peacock screamed an alert at me since I had a bathrobe on instead of overalls, LOL!
Hahahaha!! That's hilarious! I saw this online—I wonder what he'd do if you were wearing this robe...

Happy Birthday!!!Hey everyone, Happy Easter, figured I'd check in. We don't have a lot of data on our phones, so I can't be on a lot. I moved our chicks out to the cage in the coop next to the big girls. Yesterday it was so nice, my daughter and I carried a couple out to the yard and played with them. The big girls were VERY interested in them. Today is my birthday, the only things I want is to get started on my movable coop, but I still need to get with my dad to get the wood he has stored at another house. Oh well, rainy anyway. kids don't have school today, we'll find something to do.
He is a really good boy I hope he lives to an ripe old age with us, but the killing wild birds scares me also. He makes me giggle when he warns the yard about the geese. Blackbeard and Bob look around but cant seem to find what he is talking about... it's funny. I don't mind it at all. That is funny! I sure hope Oliver learns to leave Waddle alone. Chooks are supposed to be able to distinguish hawks from geese overhead. None of mine alert for geese. I think it's good thing that he kills wild birds in the chicken space. It may subject him to more possible disease, but spare the rest of your flock. I suspect his hypervigilance is due to his Ameracauna mom. She is very, very smart but probably probably a bit paranoid herself.
Oliver always patrolled even as a young cockerel, like he had a cob up his rear! I'm not surprised that he's very protective.

I hope you get to feeling better soon, it's spring time, your supposed to be shaking off the winter fog.If I don't perk up soon, it'll be time to go to a hospital. Suddenly feeling very cold, sloshy, dizzy, sitting up is really difficult. No insurance = I hate doctors. Please be praying. Had planned to pick up pheasants Wednesday, but I'm thinking that might not happen, after all.
