INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

im wanting ducklings the lady i was going to get the ducklings is alil to far (2 hours away) and i dont have anyone to drive me half way :/ im wanting pekins but it doesnt matter on the breed im only wanting a couple for dad wont allow me to have that many birds and i dont want to crowd my chickens either lol

TSC in Franklin had about 10 perkins for close to $5 each yesterday.

I keep the food and water inside the coop right now but im planning to move them outside soon. I have the heated water bowl plugged in for winter inside the coop, but now that its warming up I think I'm going to move them outside. I will also be getting some of the nipple type waterers soon, they seem to get a lot of favorable reviews.

Woohoo go Purdue and the boilermakers

Its awesome he is supporting and helping! My DH just goes along with "whatever" and does the hard stuff I can't. I am doing the same, dividing breeds and working towards NPIP.
Heck yeah Purdue & Boilermakers

Made him smile getting recognition lol

The Cochin picture is beautiful! I recently purchased 2 Buff Cochin Bantams and they've won my heart! Any chicken that looks like it's sporting bell bottoms is cool in my book! lol
I have to get rid of 2 of my BO. The flock was supposedly 7 pullets. Apparently, they didn't pass sexing school because I have 4 pullets and 3 cockerels. As good as their temperments are, and as much as I love them I know it's in the best interest of the flock if I sell 2 of the fellas. If anyone is near me and interested in BO cockerel please message me. I'm in Southeastern Indiana near Madison area.

animal lover~ I agree with your Dad! (sorry!) You have your hands full with all your babies and high school. How are the injured chickens doing and how is Ms. May's foot and Mr. Frizz's fungus? I only have five pet hens because I know that's all I can handle. Although I wish I could have one of all the adorable breeds that people post, I must admit that I have a close bond with my five girls since I just have one flock to focus on. And, knock on wood, mine have been healthy.

I fight the addiction by doing Eggebra (chicken math) in my head.

I start with the basic formulas: Cute Chick = Adult Bird x Rising Cost of Feed

That usually puts the brakes on for me.

wish it worked for me!

I've gone bonkers guys. Bought more chicks. I have 30 chicks now and 4 under a hen due in a couple weeks. I need help. Psychological help! Lol
