INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

animal lover~ Geez I am glad I live in the South! Sleeting sounds horrible. Did Ms. May's foot heal? Glad they are all warm-- and you, too!

Mr. Tattoo~ I love my RIR (Rhode Island Red), but I have to warn you that they are loud, high strung, and a little aggressive. If a stranger comes over, she starts squawking and makes a loud fuss. I think these traits are common. On the other hand, she is really sweet to us, has personality+, and is a good layer. I'm just bringing this up since it sounds like you have neighbors close by.

I agree I also what this rain to be over for just a little while and NO MORE SNOW for the REST of this YEAR!!!!! We need rain but we have house flooded and cars under water around here!!! Need some bright sun shine so i can finish coop and start my garden.

I have been reading up on "wry neck" because of my 3rd gosling that hatched. She has a crook in her neck, she can eat, drink etc fine. Her neck is not able to flex normally. Otherwise bright eyed and healthy. Obviously I will never allow her to breed, but I feel if she is not suffering, why not just keep her? she bathes and swims well too. I have started the recommended vitamin regiment in hopes it helps her. Any thoughts, anyone?
