INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Cluck~ pole beans! They grow crazy, but not too hard to take out when summers done. I made a fort for the kids with them and bamboo sticks last summer. They grow as high as whatever they climb. Just protect the bottoms so they don't peck them before they get a chance to climb.

Thats a great idea. Multi-purpose then. I think i will plant those!

@Bradselig- so I got a not so happy look from DH when I said something about another chick. I'm thinking I'll have to wait till next year to get a few more. Thanks so much for the offer though! I was looking at the member list and saw that you had a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, which I had never heard of. I googled it and they are beautiful!!! Do you have any photos? I'd love to see them!
Haha that's fine. I have actually sold all the BLRW that I had, but have more coming here soon. I originally ordered from Meyers and wasn't happy with them. They were beautiful, however not all had correct comb type. I decided to get in touch with a breeder and ordered some hatching eggs. They should be arriving this weekend. So in 4 weeks or so, ill post some pictures lol. They are quite beautiful and I almost like the splash better than the blue!

Blue Laced Red Wyandottes???? I had never seen them either. LOVE them.

This is a pullet. Boys don't feather in in those colors. ;) Leghorns have big combs, even the hens.
I need your experience. We are at 7 weeks old with our Gold Laced and Silver Laced Wyandottes. I am wondering if they are male or female???? These are my 7 week old Silver Laced Wyandottes. These are my 7 week old Golden Laced Wyandottes. They have a lot of orange and red in their beak and face area, but not so much of a comb or waddle. I am very confused. Hoping for hens! If you need better pictures I can take some more. Thank you!
A full body shot of each would help, but it looks like at least one of each is a boy. Laced Wyandotte cockerels typically first feather in with a black neck and somewhat blotchy silver or gold shoulders.

Oh awesome!! I was so afraid she was a boy!

The other day I built some pens snide my coop to move the younger chicks out of the garage. The best part, I was able to reuse leftover materials from previous projects! Didnt cost me anything to build them! They are just temporary until more coops are built. Anyways here they are. They are 10ft by 3ft and the top one is divided (small section not built but ultimately I want a removable divider between them.

Quote: I have a BLRW roo but no hens so I can't offer hatching eggs. If anyone is interested, I would like to re-home him. He came from a breeder south of us and is adorable, but scared of his own shadow.
