INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Figured out how to fix my little chicks splayed legs. Hope it will work. Its pretty much like bracing them.
I've used both pipe cleaners twisted into a figure 8 and narrow strips of surgical tape. Sometimes they can be fixed, especially if it's done right away. Takes the chick a while to learn to navigate that way, but they usually catch on.

Cluckacre's, i'ma afraid I'm gonna need a pic.

Just for future reference, especially since I'll more than likely be ordering hatchery birds, and I just generally wanna see it. Same with the pipe cleaner trick, I gots plenty of those!

you can splint a leg or wing,,,,,
if a chick has splayed legs you can put a band aid , from one leg to the other , to help fix it,,,,,gs

Just went to rural king in columbus... they have hundreds of chicks! The bantams are sooo tiny, I wanted to put a few in my pockets! I held my ground though, didn't get any... maybe next time if I need some to go with the ones I'm hatching
