INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Brown County here. I've got about 40 chickens, mostly buff brahmas, golden campines, some wyandottes and crosses of the fore mentioned. Also about 40+ bobwhites at the moment. I also keep bees.

Welcome. Glad you found us here! How Ironic me and another guy on here are hatching Campine out as we speak. I have one that hatched this morning and another one just about out.

Haha, I was thinking about what i could build with whats left, and with all the ideas on here, surely I could make a brooder or two :D

Could you hook the arm of the motor to a larger wheel/cog system? I see that there is not much room in there for one. Just using wheel size to slow it down?

My husband and I did a floating halloween prop, it ran too fast, so we changed out the pully wheels to bike wheels and that slowed it to a speed that worked better. Although judging by your creative ideas, I am sure that one has already been thought of... Just throwing it out there.

I tried making the arm longer but I dont have enough room. I need to slow down the rpm but need to do it electrically instead of mechanically. Im not quite sure how to do this tho.

So for anyone who might be interested.

I have some left over wood scraps that will be going into the dumpster soon if no one wants it. I did list the stuff on Craigslist and people have been digging through it so most of the full sized stuff has gone. However there are several pieces of exterior paneling that are about 2' wide by various sizes. Also various OSB pieces, 4'x 16-18 etc A few skids. There are some shorter pieces of 2x6. Some left over open dimensional shingles too.

I am real interested, My scrap pile has dwindled down to near 0! I have some tractors to build for this years meat birds, several small projects.... I will PM you!

Ah, Too fast, you live on the Weside side right?

I am currently on the East side, going to let you know I have some scrap lumber available if you need it. Had some listed on Craigslist and people have picked through some of the bigger pieces. I think all the pallets may be gone by now too, although I may have some damaged ones of those left, I can let you know later on.

I know there are still a few 2x2 cedar, which I am going to be using to make a small tractor from. I will try and take some pictures for you while I am there, just in case there might be something you need.
Yes we are on the west side. Thanks for the offer!
