INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Vicki if Ihad a truck I would drive over and get some wood. I've got a tractor to build. That's so nice to offer it to us.
I got my coop up on cinder blocks! Yay for not having a soggy floor anymore. I will hang the floor beams and put down the flooring in the morning. I actually broke a 2x4 using it as a lever to lift it. So bloody knuckles and lots of sweat later, the hard part is done. I had to hurry too, those crazy birds flew up to the roost in the middle of lifting it.

Cool beans! Hope there wasn't too much water logging of the framing.

Crafty- that's great. That whole things sounds like stuff we get into!! Drives my DH nuts!! Now you can have dry chickens and start your add on.

ok when you want to collect fertile eggs. I put them in a carton or in flats. Leave them at room temp and turn them 3 times a day. You can keep fertile eggs up to 10 days. If you are wanting to sell fertile eggs then the cost all depends on breed. What you could do is got to ebay.com and search for hatching eggs. you will see what everyone else is charging for their eggs. also you can go to the buy sell trade tab. Go up to forum and then go to the bottom its says buy-sell-trade. Then click on hatching eggs. here is the link to it. https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/67/buy-sell-trade I hope this helps you out.

To slow the RPMs, it is a matter of reducing the voltage. I.E. 12v = 20rpms 6v = 10rpms etc

Here is a link for the proper way to do it http://store.qkits.com/moreinfo.cfm/MX033

You could also try a 120v lighting dimmer switch, but I don't know how long your power supply will last with the amperage draw from the motor.

im trying to find a "pot" Potentiometer. Running threw the house trying to find something i can steal one from. Wife keeps telling me "you better not tear apart anything we use". LOL
