INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

My DH and I both do FB. I'm more selective than he is. But there are lots of other fun connections. Grit magazine, mother earth and some other gardening ones that have good article and ideas. And it's fun to catch up with a few people that you haven't seen in yrs!!

Maybe I'll work on a fb page after the kids go to bed. I won't be one of those that adds a million people just to have them. Just a select few, probably family and chicken people

Thats a good idea. Thats what the whole point of it is. Just to keep in touch with family and friends.

Posted by Chic-n-farmer: I am trying to load new photos on my ad for shopping and tote bags. I am having trouble getting them to load directly in my ad so I am posting them here to show them off!

Now I will go work on the ad.

My order of three bags from Chic-n-farmer arrived today and they are stunning! Nice and sturdy, and you cannot beat the price. I love the idea of recycling the bags, and the graphics are great. "But Wait, There's More . . ." (as they say on infomercials)-- You can clean the coated feed bags when needed as opposed to those cheap paper fabric bags that most groceries sell.

I live in Indianapolis around 6500 north and 2300 east. My lot is about half acre. I hope your dreams will come true with your yard! It sounds like you are well on your way. Just be aware that your chickens foraging your backyard freely will definitely have a negative impact on your attempts to grow things!

They tend to like freshly turned dirt as well as young, green plants, making it a wee bit diificult to get things to grow. This is my second year with chickens and they are going to be restricted from half of the yard so I can grow my stuff this year.
Yes and we are going to have certain parts of the yard fenced off so hopefully we don't have that problem. What do you enjoy most about chickens?

Chic-n-farmer the bags are just awesome! I sew some too, but I am not so good at handles, I would love to learn to do it! I have some of the reusable shopping bags and they are getting worn.

I have never had it come up before, I've got 78 birds total right now, even the australorps from Mt. Healthy were ok, not a single pasty in the group

That's unusual with the silkie! Butters, my grown up fella, has some odd looking feet too, walks like a sumo wrestler
