Today was a great day! Chickens got out to free range!!! My sister brought me grass clippings for the chicken run. The chickens LOVED it! I really enjoy watching my chickens learning to do new things.

Edited to add cost:

I just checked my records this is what it is.

You can set up Friday night or just come real early Saturday morning. You dont have to reserve a spot. Just show up and let them them know your there to sell and they will show you where to set up. I love this place! I have bought and sold there before. I will not be there this weekend but will be there June 8th. I have the address and more on details on the events page.

Vickichicki- 3 RIR out! All the turkey eggs look promising as well. One more week for them! Also on the lav Orps, I've been reading and it seems that it is common for the lav Orps to grow much slower. Must be associated with the lav genes? Anyone else also experience lav Orps growing very slowly?

It was beautiful today! All my goslings were out, and Weewee was the Guardian Mommy!!!
(With the help of some heavy gauge hardware cloth to keep the babies safely contained)
Yes, that is my Paddy on the far right, he is nearly as big as his mommy. He was in mid tail-wiggle

Yes mine are 11 weeks today. They are plump and feathered beautifully. I have noticed they do seem to mature slower than my Lorps, or the EEs. Tail feathers still aren't in very well, and still peep.

Ooh.. I Am excited to hear that... Need pictures so I can boast like a new mommy... Haha.
Glad the turkeys are looking good... Excited about those too.

I will post pics in the morning of the lavenders and Cochins. The lavenders are just so tiny still. Might have to take the Cochins out of the pen as they are so much bigger and I do not want another squishes chick.

They are still a little skittish so the last pictures I took are all blurry as they all jumped as it clicked.. Bless them.

Thanks for the feedback everyone
I was planning to hook chicken wire tot he fence bottom and bury it in the bottom of the run, then run tin over the top of the run, since I had a shed die and the sides still look pretty good for keeping rain off

Ill get pics when I ill them from the bator after fluffing up. I'm excited to see the Cochins! I'm glad I got rid of them when I did, I was getting attached to them lol. Ill keep you posted on the turkeys
