Oh my gosh, I didn't think there was anyone else that had heard of that show! I love it! I've got the first three seasons on DVD. I haven't had the chance to see the 4th season yet, though, because we don't have Netflix. :/

Oddly enough, my Chemistry teacher likes Breaking Bad. I've never seen it.

I'm with you, though. I haven't watched much TV in many years, since I have the chickens to keep me busy. I make time for favorites, though. Can't live without my Doctor Who fix.

I also saw that they are selling a kind of band that I've never seen before. Again, more info and photos in the catalog, but these snap shut. You "squeeze" them in the middle to open them. Not sure if they're any good or not, but thought I'd put it out there for anyone interested.

I am starting to see these a lot. They do look a lot safer than spirals, no pointy ends.

Okay so today is day 21 for our eggs. The four hatched yesterday and there are two under her still. Snow has been eating and drinking but no poops and I don't want her to get off the nest since those eggs are still under her. Will she be okay not pooping for another day?

Let her decide, but she may drop a bomb

[COLOR=8B4513]When my niece and her husband who live in Seattle were married, all the men wore kilts since her husband's family's heritage is Scottish. Plus, those young Seattle types are a little crunchy and unconventional anyway. [/COLOR]

I have never attempted to make a kilt, but many styles of skirts are not difficult. Is it the hips that make kilts not work well for women?

OMG... My very first sewing project in 7th grade Home Ec class was the little blue skirt on the right hand side pattern. The pattern was a "few" years old (minis were out and maxis were in) so I received a poor grade for being "out of fashion" but I wore that thing til it fell apart!!

Wow, those put me back a few years

I am scotch/irish on moms side, 100% german on dads.
Tiniest Gramma was 4'10 and my tallest Grampa was 6'2 lol!
(yes they were moms parents!)
Hehehe I sure do remember the kilt style skirts yuk! SOOO was not wearing a dress.

ok I cant find the post to remind ya'll but the 2 hens I had die in 2 days, The teacher was checking them out before class tomorrow and he said he couldn't find anything on the leghorn ( the old hen ) but the Buff had a broken neck. no sign as to y or how. and I still say the Leghorn died of old age. Just a big ol coincidence. odd but that is what it was.
The class will be doing that thing this week and will try and get a cause of death on the leghorn.

I lost a peafowl from a broken neck, just an odd and upsetting occurrence, and am guessing because it perched too high and did not estimate the jump down well.
They do have much longer necks than a chicken but I can see that easily happening. Consider the distance from the roost and spaces between.
It may have just been an unfortunate accident.

I just put 9 modern eggs and the one white silkie egg into the bator! Hoping for a good hatch!

I have posted this else where but it takes so long to get answers sometimes, but here the questions get answered pretty fast so I'll ask it here as well.
What is Mareks? I tried to read up on it but cant find anything that speaks to a high school grad. you need 6 years of collage to understand what they are saying!!! the only thing I got were the signs. and that it is contagious. is it contagious to just birds or can my goats dogs and horses get it to? my chickens free range so they are around all my other critters.

Its a viral disease that effects the nervous system. I am way behind so will see whats been posted before I comment further

Wish I could watch our satellite is awful. I do enjoy Sherlock Holmes very much.

She is such a good momma. I really hope she can hold out for the 2 eggs still under her. I know they are alive, I just don't know when they will decide to make an appearance. I took her off the nest earlier for a minute and let her poop. She did it almost immediately, so I know she was holding it. She stretched her legs a bit and I put her back in. She was only out maybe a minute total. The little ones still won't put their legs under them. Shari from Harvest Breeze told me awhile back that it is common for them to be born with out their "land legs" and they will come out of it on their own. Chance was that way and I panicked and hobbled him and poly vi soled him. One of the partridges that hatched last time was like that and I just put it back under momma and it came out of it on its own. I really hope these do. It must be a silkie thing.

You and I are both so fast to react on our babies! I am biting my lip but want to see if she is ok first.
She is drawing them both in, but the right leg is "looser"if you know what I mean.
Does not look as strong, but I keep telling myself she is only a day old.
