INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Anyone want to take a guess at what time the first one will hatch? I set 95 of Brads Quail Eggs in the incubator Wednesday the 19th at about 3 pm. Lets see who can guess the time of the first hatcher.
So far I see no sign of any cracking or piping at all It is nearly 4 am at the moment.. I assume this being day 16 is hatch day. , (or at least hatch weekend) ... I will guess that the first one to hatch will be tonight at 9:00 Pm .. I will post when the first one hatches just after it happens.....

This is one fast moving group!

Good morning!

We are hoping to have our permanent coop up this weekend! Time to start building my flock!

I would love information on anyone having the following. I will drive to you! We are in the Michiana area, but will to go wherever for what I want.

Silkies: I need a small flock of silkies, and would consider 1 rooster as well. Love having them as my living incubators.

ISA Browns: New to these, I have 6 and I love that they are such dependable layers of huge eggs

Easter Eggers, Americaunas, or Aracuanas : Must have as many colors as possible of course!

Marans: Need some chocolate eggs.

I would prefer 8 months to 1 year old. I don't want chicks at this time. I am not looking for roosters, I have a good one already.

If any one has any of these, please PM me (since I probably would never find a reply in this thread).

Check the members list. I think bradselig has it in his signature. I know many people have the following breeds, though not everyone breeds them. I have Easter eggers, ameraucanas, and araucanas. All are great birds- you will enjoy them

I remember seeing a recipe on facebook a while back. Didn't know if it really worked...
There are a lot of recipe variations out there. The batch I made cost just under $13 and lasted an entire year for our family of 4 plus doing my parents' laundry. I've loved the results. Plus I use vinegar instead of fabric softener and air dry clothes as much as possible. The vinegar helps remove any detergent residue left on clothes which is what keeps clothes from being soft (I do dry towels in the drier to make them fluffier!). It's a great way to save money!
