lucky you! -- maybe the pullet vibes will come my wayYay!!!!![]()
(And, for encouragement....I last placed 3 eggs under my broody and the hatch was 100% pullets. I give thanks to God for that one!)
I personally like hearing about other animals -- especially ones I keep thinking about getting someday!I have now moved my younger chicks into my older chicks (by 2-3 weeks older) Larger brooder. They seem to be getting along, no pecking or fighting yet anyway. The older chicks seem to shy away from the younger ones. And the younger ones just love being in the larger space. I hope there will be no issues because 1 brooder is a lot easier than dealing with two.
Back to my new Kids for a sec. The moms is a first timer and I don't think she has figured out the feeding thing yet. The kids were pretty weak this morning. I brought them in milked the mom (she is a pain in the butt milker) then bottle fed them. They were very hungry! But are now getting stronger and doing great!
Ok, ok I know enough about goats on the BYC! Sorry can't help myself exciting stuff!
I think we all agree that we love hearing about and seeing photos of all animals, including chickens.I personally like hearing about other animals -- especially ones I keep thinking about getting someday!
several of the eggs now have visible cracks in them. I even saw a small beak poke out a little hole in one egg.. I can hear a random peep every now and then... How long now til one comes out??
