They can have anything a mamma would feed 'em if they had a mamma with them. And you can be sure she'd feed them every bug she could get their beaks on

Thx Kab, wasnt sure about that either but giving them chick grit. That was just for picture purposes. Lol and after looking at the post again, I forgot t get pics of my black Austrolop chicks... Oh well! Lol

If it is like the name brand one, the number of chicks it can keep warm is not nearly as high as stated.

I was so glad my Golden Comets were able to get outside and enjoy some foraging in what little bare spots they could find! They are the only 5 layers I have right now the rest are just chicks. Hopefully in a month or two I'll be watching my whole flock of colors wandering around the yard!!

I left my outdoor gang out of the pen t forage today. Left 14 out at 2:15 today, went out an hr ago t close em in...only 13 came back!!! One of my 7 mo old Isa Browns didn't come home. Grrrrrrr hunted everywhere I can think of and couldn't find her. She is one of my wonderers so she probably just walked away and can't find her way home. Hoping she's by th coop in the morning.
