Thank you. My silkies seem to stay pretty clean. I'm so glad because I don't have time for 18 baths on a regular basis. I think it is the combination of shavings in the coop and course sand in the run. They only free range supervised due to hawks, so I guess I don't give them much opportunity to get very dirty. She really loved the mirror. She is currently wandering around the living room, she got bored with herself finally. lolToo cute! That's what my Peahen would do before I got her a Man! I know you hear this all the time. .but she's sooo Clean! !And not to mention beautiful! Sweetie![]()
So pretty! I want peafowl so much but DH says they are too loud. Maybe someday.

Quote: From top left to bottom right, I see probable girls, girl, probable girl, boy, girl. If the two probable girls have well defined stripes around their eyes, they are definitely girls. On boys, all stripes are very indistinct.
The two bresse you will probably be able to sex around 3 weeks. The males crests tend to grow larger pretty quickly, but if you have two boys or two girls it may not be as obvious
That is great! For actually being a chicken, silkies are about the farthest thing from acting like one. They are the Shihtzus of the chicken species.Okay, for all you silkie lovers. I just read the funniest thing. When asked, "What kind of animal is that?" One silkie owner replies, "Asian ground parrots." I might just get some silkies so I can say that.![]()
