INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Mousers/barn cats are usually born to other Mousers/barn cats, because many of those skills are taught by the mother. At least that's what I've always been told. Not something I'm experienced with. If not I know of a rescue that sells kittens and young cats for 20$, or at least used to. But they are all fixed.

I have a rescue cat already. He too is fixed but he is not the best hunter / killer. He might be getting better but so far his strong suit is begging.

I grew up with female barn cats having kittens. It is a learning experience that I really really enjoyed. I can't recommend fixing all cats. Our family was able to maintain barn cats by keeping a few kittens each year and finding homes for the rest. We never had a kitten that we wanted to rehome past the age of 8 weeks.
I would gladly give a home to another barn cat if it would have kittens for me and catch mice or wild birds.

I recently shared my shame with LonelyP as I've never been the owner of a female anything besides my chickens but rescued 2 kittens and thought one girl one boy but later found both are girls and we too like @flockmaster-164 have our George with her first litter. She gave birth Monday. Our other is due soon I'm sure. II've never not had my pets fixed and I have felt so guilty that this happened. I do plan to care for them all if need be. I will also be fixing them all. I've always had mousers too and cannot be without them! DH is hilariously petrified of mice ..apologies to any of you that share that fear but o my it's a funny site! ! So..we now have plenty.
Pics of her 4 beauts!

I had a cat for 8 years. He was bought from the pet store and declawed but he was a 26 lb killer of all critters! I would find anything you could imagine was around but what floored me was he was an indoor cat who we let outside as he pleased but when I found half of a full grown rabbit eaten next to my vehicle in the garage along with just the head of a baby! Side by side ...on multiple occasions! Just shocking really! He was a sweetheart tho. I can remember as a kitten I would rock him and sing to him! Lol.. I was big and pregnant and hormonal I guess! Hahaha. Don't judge me! ! Lol

Is #4 a girl? If so I would like to give it a home. I can give you some mixed eggs for it.

Awe.. a loving home that will share stories and pics is good enough for me! But I don't know how to sex them! Ok..well I haven't looked. They sound so pitiful shrieking when you pick them up. I will see if I can tell anything and let you know.

O...and @racinchickins and his partner came and hit the motherload of strawberry plants at my place tonight! I have bought my veggies and will begin planting so last call if anyone really wants some! I still have waaayyy too many!

Here is a cool little fuzz but from kabhyper1's hatching eggs! It's got freaking freckles lol

Anyone else on northern Indiana going to the Wolfs Giant Swap up near Ligonier? It's this Saturday from like 6am-1pm. Not only do they have animals, they have just about everything else. If you are needing a wire cage, they make them on site with a large pole building full at a very reasonable price![/quote) yup I am taking the whole family boss is running the milk wagon
