INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I just wanted to check if any one on here would be interested in a splash Orpington rooster. I have 3- splash roosters hatched out on Jan. 1st. I don't plan on keeping any of them, they are very nice birds with great temperament. 2- of the roosters do have some feathers on their legs(I think a brahma got mixed in at some point) anyone interested please PM me in the next 2-weeks and I will send you pic's of the boys.

The top four are my current broodies. A Belie, sitting on Cuckoo Maran, (both blue & reg.) Barred Rock (both blue & reg.) and CCL eggs. A Brahma sitting on Barred Rock, Cuckoo Maran and mutts. A Light Sussex sitting on mutt eggs and a RIR sitting on mutt eggs

My new momma, Silver Penciled Rock and her 3 babies, 2 LF Cochin from Kab and a mutt, I think is an Isbar mix.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my friend who has lost her entire flock had recently bought meat chicks and meat turkeys. She is wondering if that is where it came from. She bought the chicks to grow out and butcher. All of her chickens free range the farm. It is really beautiful because they walk around the goats and go in and out of the barn. She has two coops. Her silkie coop looks like a little playhouse with windows and window boxes. She had the most beautiful frizzles. I wanted some from her and thought about getting a couple when I go up in July. Now they are all gone. It just breaks my heart. There are a lot of chicken owners within a mile of her farm but none of them show any signs. I just never expected this to hit "home" so to speak. It was just something on the news.

Also, she was told that after all birds are euthanized she is under quarantine for two weeks. So, does everyone think that means she can get new birds after the quarantine. I think she should wait until next spring. She has two small children who just love the chickens. Her young daughter wanted the pretty frizzles to begin with.

Hey guys we got 4 EEs and 2 OEs from jchny2000 at least that's what we thought so we have 2 EEs and 4 OEs we found out today when my mom told me to get the 2 OEs so I got 2 OEs then she said to get to more chicks the EEs well they weren't EEs! They were OEs! So here's a pick of all of the OEs yes there is 4 in there.

Please ask her what hatchery the turkeys came from. (And the meat birds too.) If she got them at a farm store, ask the farm store what hatchery they came from.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
