It's intended as a screening test, not a "diagnostic" test for individual birds. You COULD mark your eggs and include a note asking them to mark the specimens, but that won't guarantee they will since it's free. And it's been 2-3 months and I NEVER got my results this year, which has me annoyed. I need to contact them to see WTH happened to my eggs, which were mailed just before all heck broke loose with AI on the west coast.
BTW, things are slowing way down. I think there was one new outbreak in the last 10 days or so, instead of the 4-6 a day we were getting. The hot weather is helping a lot. I think they will have a handle on it FOR NOW soon. The question will be if they will have a vaccine to use in the fall, when it gets cooler again and we might expect to see another spike in HPAI cases.
