INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hey guys and gals got a question.... I am trying to do some trading based on these being GLW... BUT it has been brought to my attition that they may be EE's instead, so help me out here can I trade as GLW or not?

Seriously, I would wait. Aww the OE will learn thats a big mistake!
Lavender orps are a wonderful heritage breed, very hardy as chicks. My breeding rooster is at 12 pounds last time I weighed him. Hens are docile, friendly birds. My favorite, will always keep them here. Hens lay 5 days a week or more. They will go broody, I have one hen broody and 2 molting.

I am going to keep them for a bit to see. I have told Faraday that I think I was in Love with a Rooster! LOL They are such great birds. She also told me she does have a pullet from the English hatch, so if I do end up with 2 cockerels, I can keep one and just find a home for 1. But that will be a tough decision. I am guessing I shouldn't cross an American breed and an English breed. Is that frowned upon? I also have 8 BBS Orps and 1 Project Orp in the brooder. They are about 9 days old. So I am very excited about my Orpingtons also. I also have a young CCL brooding for the last 12 days. Tried to candle the eggs yesterday and she almost took my hand off and the growl that came out of her scared me. So, no candling, haha. I don't think any of the eggs are fertile, since it has been a while since I got rid of my roo. But, every once in a while I get a fertile egg, so wanted to check. I will end up getting a chick to put under her when the time comes. She is my first broody. Thanks for all the help and I will keep you updated if it crows or lays.

My son is learning about the Dutch and wooden shoes. He has decided that we need to build a wall around our yard, install a windmill pump, and start wearing wooden shoes.

Our yard is not as wet as others but there are places that still have standing waters. Turns out having weeds really helps the water not form into puddles.

Doubful but will take a good look Sunday. The combs should be rose not straight. I did have 1 GLW that had a straight comb, but its rare.
