INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

@Indyshent thanks! I need to add white rocks anyways, lol. I do like the breed, and it would give me a white chicken! I have 5 white chickens out of about 50 or soooo.... ah well who counts anyways? Any one breeding white rocks?

I need some help on ideas for a chicken coop. Thought about a chicken tractor, but really want something easy to clean and maintain.

Hi, welcome to our thread

! How many chickens do you plan to keep? That will help a lot to give you thoughts on whats going to work best for you.

It has been a while since I have been on here. I plan on having around 6 hens. Also, I would like to have room for a few hens and a rooster to maybe do some breeding and hatching.

There are many, many pages of coops on the main forum "Coops" section. Also, do a Google search for "small chicken coop" or "chicken tractor" images. I have built several coops here and use these 2 places for ideas everytime

I think this must be the most active thread I have ever seen!

I am hoping that someone here can answer a question for me: Do you have to be NPIP certified in order to ship birds? I haven't looked into it yet, but have some rare birds that I would like to sell via FB auction. Am I out of luck if I don't have the certification yet?

Thanks kindly for any helpful advice.

Here is one of the birds I will be offering for sale - his name is Hiho:

I think there are specific states that require the NPIP and others that do not. It is something that the animal board of health of each state would know as they set the rules for animals entering their state.
