I'll second @ellymayRans ; if there's anything you think I can do, let me know. I know times are tough (for everyone). I can't buy anything right now, but I could foster some of the lighter-weight eaters for awhile and/or help find homes for some. I know the Sumatra (and the Sumatra mix) have been really good here. The birchen boy has been courting my CX hens, so I might even get to see some day if a Sumatra/CX mix is as studly a bowling ball as a CX could ever possibly be (the EE/Sumatra mix at @jchny2000 's is LOVELY). By all means, if you can find buyers for them, that's great (really!), but if you think you may get into it again or just want to find a good home for some of them (and reduce your feed bill), I can take a few in.Skipping a few pages. I am going to sell my sportsman and my metal brooder box. It looks like I will be leaving the chicken and other poultry world for a while.
BTW, is the temperament of the Sumatras going to get nasty come spring, and should I build pens for these boys, just in case?
