INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

You should be able to see development if the shells are light enough. But if you don't see any or is difficult, give it a couple more days.

I checked one of each type. One I saw nothing. The other one I totally saw all the veins and a little spot! It was sooo cool!

My first time hatching and candling duck eggs was awesome and sad. My very first time candling, I was 14 and it was day 7 on mallard eggs. I put the flashlight to the egg and seen the veins and embryo. I started jumping with joy and screaming thought the house. Sadly I was jumping so much I shook the egg. I cried all day thinking I just killed it. but 21 days later all eggs hatched. I was filled with joy.

@akorte
Please give us a review after you use the incuview and let us know if you like it.
I use an Incuview. I love it. This is my second year using it. I mostly use it as a hatcher, since it is so easy to clean. The built in hygrometer seems to be somewhat inaccurate, but it was mentioned recently on the Incuview thread that they will be improving that.

@akorte , I'm not so sure about putting those water bottles in there. It seems like their weight would put a lot of strain on the turner motor. And in any case, the Incuview seems to keep its temperature pretty nicely without the need for heat sinks.

Aww I'm so happy it all turned out well!

@akorte
x2 on that incubator review. I need to recommend one for one of my preschool programs next spring. That one seems very close to the Hovabator genesis plus turner, but a little more affordable & easier to clean. (Most schools use Hovabator / GQF due to the price/volume/reliability. For some reason, the Farm Innovations just have more issues.) The large viewing window is required..... as well as reliability of course.

Okay, thanks! I don't have the turner on right now, but I will take those out when I put the eggs in.

Yes, I will. If it works well I might take it to school as well. (I teach middle school science)
