INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hi folks, haven't been around much lately. I have 20 some pages to catch up on!

I was wondering if anybody knows of a source for button quail close to Indy. (Birds, not eggs or chicks.) I found a lone male on Craigslist, and now I want to find him a friend or two.
:frowgood to see you!
Do you have a way of hatching or know someone that does? Usually can find eggs on eBay.

So... my oldest goat, Sugar is inside my concrete porch tonight with Coco and her bucklings. Still pre-labor, tendons have disappeared. Should be tonight or tomorrow latest! She is terrible about birthing outside, and I don't want to risk her kids chilling. My main scheme is try to imprint the other 2 kids to her, and continue bottle feeding also. Sugar is an excellent milk producer, 1.5 to 2 gallons a day. One baby is already spoken for! My neighbor's son has been over every day after school to give him his bottle:love. The little buckling adores him! His Dad ok'd it and has been preparing to keep dairy goats. They will be disbudded this weekend and first shots.
Normally, my buck leaves the pasture when my does are due to kid, but Tron's pasture had several trees down on the fence! Worked on it until dark today. Hope to have him moved over by Sunday evening. We are opening up the remaining southwest portion of our land. Lots of mature trees for summer shade and it has the creek running through it too.
We've decided to not do quail this year, and am still rethinking on the chickens. I know I want to keep my EE/OE flock (Dads favorite is the blue and green eggs!) & Leghorns. I have some very old production RIR hens, and a trio of buckeye; those 2 groups may be leaving. Definitely keeping my Guineas. Of course my geese. I still have my Muscovy & Pekin ducks. Adore them but honestly may not continue with them. The owl population here has forced me to not free range them anymore.

The babies are coming!! :wee
