INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Awe, I hope he finds a good home. Make sure not to offer him as free (like on Craigslist) or he could become a bait dog. Can you post this to local rescues to help find him a home?
I don't plan on offering him on Craigslist, there are some weird people on there!

Yes! I contacted one I used to volunteer at which is actually a house away from where he is. No response yet!

Hi, I’m posting to let you know about a processor in Howe, Indiana where we took our meat birds this year. It’s called Pigeon River Processing. It’s a ways up there but if you’re in the northern part of the state I recommend this processor.
Good to know. I'm actually close to the area, but don't have birds that need processed. But, I will definitely pass the info on!

Anyone looking for a pair of bantam cochins? I've decided to downsize. They are great birds and I'm sad even posting this, but flock dynamics with another rooster isn't working out. These 2 are a bonded pair. I'm in NE Indiana, north of Fort Wayne.

Alright. Full disclosure. I have a hen, that's about to become headless! Lol

She's a pita!

Broody for 6 days, always a beotch about it and mean!

And she's been mean to several of our other girls, not pecking order either, it's completely different. And it's just her.

New coop or lunch?

Over a year old olive egger

If you are up to it, lunch would be the better option. Chickens are flock creatures and being permanently separated isn't a good option. People don't do well in solitary for very long either.

I feel your pain. The senior girl in my flock is sometimes mean. I have some new pullets that will be joining the flock soon and she will be the first one to go.

Poor thing. She just wants some love. 😁 I know lots of people that rehome chickens to a different flock and they do well in their new digs.

I'm not one to eat my own chickens, so I'm going to vote to rehome her. ❤️
