Indoor Coop

See my page. I have a converted doghouse in my garage at night that I close them up in(otherwise they poop all over the garage.) I let them out in am to go to foraging pen where I keep water, feed, Sand box and nesting box.there is also a crate for play and a roost. It has a tarp for shade and rain. I just figured out how to mount plexiglass on it as a wind break for winter. At dark they all parade back to coop and I close them in for night. I occassionly bring them in but find a towel on my lap is more convenient than a diaper. They just settle in and "purr themselves to sleep on my lap. I have decided to build a permanent outdoor coop just because They could come out of the coop on their own in the am and would be safer if I'm late getting out to put them in... I could put them in the run earlier and they could pu themselves to bed.Try it in the garage before u build something expensive that may not work out. My new one will have a run with room where we can sit and enjoy them, looks more like a gazebo.

I Just love how people JUST HAVE to give their 2 cents about why you should not have them inside. You aren't asking their opinion for that but they just cant resist. Anyway, I am looking for the same thing for my Sarema Frizzle. She wants nothing to do with outside or other chickens...she truly does not know she is a chicken. LOL! Anyway, I'll post when I find some good ideas. Oh and I'll leave out the unnecessary lectures.:tongue:D

Has anyone reading built an indoor coop for about 4 seramas before?
