indoor duck

the shirts or the ducks? 😂

my ducks are indoor/outdoor, so they spend time inside but still love the outdoors
😂😂😂😂 the ducks, my ducks are indoor until they wanna go eat some mud or chase the shrimp or minnows in their pond, very well behaved, only problem is that the drake gets jealous and wants to sit on your lap so he flies up on the couch, usually he cant fly high enough so its just wing flapling on the couch 😂

why are you rehoming them? do you have pics? where are you located? adoption fee?

Another thing to consider is your living situation for the next ten years. Are you still living with your parents? Do you plan to live with them for the life of your duck? What about the ducks you already have? Will you be able to rent/buy an appropriate home for you and your pets? I imagine renting with ducks is hard. Do you have finances to buy?

I know last winter you were pretty upset because your parents wouldn't let you bring your ducks into the coop at night and you were afraid of a predator attack or your ducks freezing at night. Is this really a safe environment for more pets?

we couldn’t bring them into the coop because it was hard to get them off the pond, which we fixed. they have a nice coop right now but once we move they’ll be getting an even bigger one. they’ll also be getting a pond built that is better to get them off of and will be in a predator proof pen. and they’ll still be coming inside a lot especially in winter. i know how my pets are being cared for, and can definitely add more ducks at the moment.

I'm happy to hear your situation has changed. I know you, like me, are sensitive to animal welfare, so that must feel very good.

yeah, we try to give our ducks the best life possible. we are actually talking with a rescue at the moment, about adopting some of their ducks.

all my past ducks have been purchased. i love them, but the ways the “breeder” animals are treated is so sad. all my future ducks will be rescued
I purchased some of my ducks, too. I'll only adopt other animals, but somehow I didn't realize that could happen with ducks. Since then I've adopted 4 ducks.

I agree with you, the breeder practices are very sad. Knowing what it takes to keep ducks healthy and happy I don't see how anyone could ever make money off them ethically.
