Indoor ducklings how to keep them happy??

You're welcome, happy to help! Ducks are so much fun - I wish I could keep ducks in my house lol. The ducks we had before were outdoor ducks. Still bonded to us, and I don't think my parents would've been happy with two poop machines waddling around the house in diapers, lol. I would have liked it though.

You know, I think some pictures and videos are in order

I have an inside duck. Found him/her in my backyard when a baby. Unfortunately I would have to agree an apartment would be very difficult as they are super noisey and without a yard would be tough. I keep mine in a chicken coop during the day and then inside at night

I would seriously say that your ducks need to go outside every once in a while. What they are doing sounds pretty normal though they seemed to be excited. That was how my ducks acted when they were younger and I would spend time with them . But they should seriously go outside because they enjoy the sun more than anything and to get some extra nutrients from foraging .

I do take them out.. but everyday is not possible.. I love them so much.. and I'm ready to do anything good for them.. thanks for all your tips.. will do something about it soon..

Do your best, okay? Whatever you can for the little ones.

Just wanted to throw this out there since I have yet to find many other indoor duck people on here lol the duck diapers on etsy are insanely expensive!! I buy a pack of size 15 (mens) socks and cut them and put a pad at the bottom (to catch/absorb any poop). I have to say I agree with the changing every 2 hours or so. If you would like I can show you how I cut mine... My duck is a 4(?) month old Fawn Runner. The vet said he/she is definitely full grown though. Mine is an only duck as I found him/her in my backyard so he/she is super attached to me, follows me everywhere I go. My duck loves to play with my dogs toy stuffed bones or bears (something to potentially entertain them?). Hope this information helps!! If you ever have more questions feel free to send me a message :) good luck with your babies!!

There's a user here that sells ducky diapers, but I think we've been through this before. @jendarwin , were you the one who made the "I need duck diapers" thread? If I remember correctly, I believe your location made things harder to ship to. Yeah, I think making ducky diapers is the way to go.
@MotherToMoose , your ducky is Adorable!!!

I don't mean to bash anyone on the forms, just all the diapers I see for sale are like $60 a diaper. With the socks I can change them out, wash them, and get about 6 pairs for like $6.

Lol yeah the price does seem to be a bonus! And, the way I see it, you're not 'bashing' anyone, just stating a personal preference
