Howdy all! This started after a trip to the local livestock auction with my son. He fell in love with a standard rex, as we were there to start our meat rabbits. He wanted to start some for their velvet fur as pets. However, I didn't think about that thick plush fur and our Florida heat. After much research, we decided that outside was not going to be feasible with our heat and limited shaded spaces. This birthed the plan to set them up indoors. Our pair is litter trained and super sweet tempered. We wanted something big enough to handle the pair and a litter of kits. We decided on a 3 level system that is stained and looks like furniture (happy wife, happy life) here is what we have so far.
