Indoor roo?

Does anyone have a chicken that lives indoors peermanently? I have RIR that I THINK is a roo (I'll get pics today) He can't be more then 4 weeks old but he is starting to be a monster with his cage mates. They REALLY need to go out now, it's time for them to move to the coop but this little red beats the living daylights out of my other 2. If he doesn't settle down with more space I'm considering making him and indoor bird. ( I won't eat him) I know that they poop constantly so obviously can't have the run of the house like a cat but has anyone else tried this?
