Inexpensive nest box ideas!

Of course I didn't learn this until AFTER I went out and bought a few. Now I'm trying to turn them into feeders & waterers

I just destroyed/dismantled all the built in nest boxes in our hen house because they were insufficient as well, as they were barely big enough... built to the 16X16 size...

I've resorted to large plastic tubs with holes cut out for the hens to get in... they can be cheap if you catch them on sale. They clean and disinfect easily which is most important to me, well.. after them being able to fit in them! LOL This is what I will use in addition to cardboard boxes wherever they are weather safe.
