Infected face

I have a silkie hen, 2 years old with an infection on one side of her face. There is yellow puss? coming out of her eye. She is setting on eggs and I've been giving her Terramycine powder in her water but since she is setting, I'm not sure she is getting enough to help. I'd like to give her injectable penicillin but not sure how much? Thanks Jane

Eye infection may be an indication of a respiratory disease, and most of them are viral, so an antibiotic is not going to help. Read here:

If the cause is an injury that has gotten infected, cleaning with saline and applying an antibiotic ophthalmic ointment should do the trick.
