Infected injury?

Hi All! My light Brahma was attacked by a hawk last week. I was right there and chased it off. I checked her over and didn't see any injuries or blood but yesterday noticed her feathers sticking out on the side of her head. It looks like she must have gotten hurt after all and it might be infected. See photo. I used MicrocynAH and then Vetericin spray. I then covered it with Hen Healer. I'm worried about that little white bump. (See photo). Is there anything else I should do for her besides keep it clean, keep an eye and make sure the other girls don't peck her? Thank you in advance for your advice.

Do you notice a bad odor near the wound? Is there any pus? The white could be tissue or fat, I don’t know. If you suspect infection, you could use some Hibiclens or chlorhexidene and water 1/2 strength and clean it twice a day for a couple of days. Then go back to the other sprays. Vetericyn and similar wound sprays are good, but chlorhexidene can disinfect a wound. Triple Antibiotic Ointment can be helpful as well. It takes a few weeks for wounds to come together and heal.

Thank you! There's no bad odor or pus that I can see. I'll keep an eye and put the triple antibiotic ointment on it too. If it starts to look worse I'll get some chlorhexidine. I really appreciate the quick response. ☺️
