Infected leg/foot? Suddenly wounded 3mth cockerel

We Watched Mr. Smokey Robinson hobble out of the coop this morning for breakfast like a drunk man waking up from a 3 night binder.

He was perfectly fine on the roost last night so is this bumble foot? A peck wound? Or is something possibly broken?

These are the best photos I can get alone. He’s currently soaking in an epsom salt bath. Any other ideas? I did spray off with vetricyn but this looks like a crusty infected scab?! Also, no wounds or anything abnormal on the bottom of the feet. It is warm to the touch.

He’s doing a lot of lying on the elbows. Still eating and drinking normal. Poop is posted. With a little added dog hair lol.

Is there any way you can get a vet to do a simple xray to look for a fracture? Is he putting weight on it, or holding it up? I do think a broken leg might be possible with the swelling. If a break goes through the skin (compound fracture,) there would be a need for antibiotics as well as reducing the fracture and splinting it. Cleaning the wound with Betadine and applying antibiotic ointment would be good. Here is a good article on page 22 on how to splint a lower leg:

He is putting weight on it just kind of limping along. I can’t tell with This dang on scab though.
