Infection and Penicillin use

The picture you showed of your penicillin was exactly what you would have been advised to get. it's the concentration that determines the dose. The concern I have with you diluting it is that the particles in penicillin are quite large and tend to settle out. With dilution it's possible that happened even more and the dose could have been even lower than you expected. I know that molt is making her uncomfortable, and she probably really doesn't much like being handled right now, but it's in her best interests to really see what is going on with the eye. Since she has improved, even with the very low dose of meds, I would take that as a good sign.

Just an update. After the last conversation I checked Irma’s eye. I did some slight pressing, but really didn’t feel much. So I upped her dosage of the penicillin to .4 for 1 week. I kept her in at night for the last couple days. Anyways, she’s back with the flock now. She even got some of her feathers back.
