infectious bronchitis

Steff, thanks for the thread very interesting. I have not had any weird eggs just a marked decrease in number.

They are just over 1 yr and laying well though not back to last falls numbers.

I started by putting electrolytes in their water. Did just that for a couple of days (I work 12 hr days). They have now had yogurt, scrambled eggs and vinegar in their water. I used a raspberry wine vinegar because it had a mother in it and that means it has an active culture-- I put that in the feed mixture and ACV in the water.

For the most part they are better. More active, only one is rattling or coughing much today. My roo looks lots better with his comb fully red and he is crowing more. They are not eating much and
there is some loose poo though it is not really what I would term diarrhea and is the right color.

I thought I would look for rooster booster when I go out (unlikely I can find it around here).

I may cull a couple for this and other reasons and any that don't get over it in a reasonable amount of time. I don't think they are going to be culling themselves now like I did a couple of days ago.

I am a believer in chicken soup for humans but it seems inappropriate for them don't you think?
