Why is my chicken sitting on infertile eggs? (We don’t have a rooster)

Mine did it once. I stuck some guinea eggs under her and hatched them.

Hmm. I'm not a duck person(u know that) so I guess I'm not one to be giving Information about them. I'm sure others would know.

These are my go-to signs of a broody:
Is she on nest most the day and all night?
When you pull her out of nest and put her on the ground, does she flatten right back out into a fluffy screeching pancake?
Does she walk around making a low cluckcluckcluckcluckcluck(ticking bomb) sound on her way back to the nest?

If so, then she is probably broody and you'll have to decide how to manage it.

If she really is broody, might want to give her a nest in a safe place with some bedding in it before giving her eggs.
