Info came from an old farmer, what do you think?

I was at the feed store and the gentleman told me that if he has baby chicks that won't eat and are not active, he gives them coffee. Perks them up and gives them energy, so they will eat and drink.

So, what ya'll think about this. I have heard of anyone doing it.

I've never heard that one before. I've heard that putting a little sugar in their water does the same thing. I guess its the caffeine in the coffee that does the trick.

I wouldn't do it.

Some of the old timers advice I take with a grain of salt and this would be one of those instances if it were me.

There are many products out there that will give chicks the same benefit and are made exclusively for chicks that you would get the same result from.
