My Rooster seems to have an ingrown feather near his leg/ underbelly.
I've been able to rule out if it is his preen gland (unless they have multiple, and I'm simply unaware).
And I've ruled out if there have been any feather pluckers, being he is our only chicken.
I would have attached a photo, but its hard to get to with him being completely feathered.
He doesn't seem to be in any discomfort. And i only noticed it during our morning cuddles and a second time when I picked him up.
I guess my questions are;
•will the feather work itself out on its own? (being their beaks are like little built in tweezers)
•will it cause any damage if not removed? - if so..
•how does one remove an ingrown feather on a hard to reach area without hurting the rooster?
Thank you in advance!
Hope you're having a blessed day.
