inherited coop transformation

here is the coop when we inherited it last spring - we believe it was used for broiler chickens:

here is the main coop today. we added 3+ feet out the front, put double doors on it for spring/summer ventilation, pella windows on the sides (garage sale!), a roof vent for the winter ventilation (small dryer vent), nesting box doors at the back for egg collection, large branches for roosting poles with a poop board 8" under poles so the ladies have more floor space in the winter. this weekend we added a Lowe's playhouse for our bantams (sorry the photo is a little dark, taken early this a.m.) and will split the shaded side run in half so the littles have some peace from the standards:

Excellent! The coops are adorable and it looks like they have loads of room to run around. They've gotta love that.
